Welcome!  I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor and Nationally Board Certified.
Finding a good therapist can be difficult.  You may be wondering what to look for in a therapist. What’s important? Surprisingly, age, gender, years of training and theoretical orientation are not the primary factors correlated with the effectiveness of a therapist. So how do you choose someone? Is it by their picture? The best website? The one who’s taking new clients?
Finding the right person can be incredibly difficult. Research suggests that the most important factors in positive therapeutic outcomes are the therapeutic alliance, working together to set collaborative goals, and the therapist’s ability to be empathetic, accepting and genuine.
My clients describe me as someone who gets them, someone they can relate to, someone they trust and who’s easy to talk to, someone warm, safe, and empathetic. I can bring humor into a tough conversation and support you in your time of need.
Sometimes it’s easier to text or email for an initial contact.  I offer a real easy way to get things started – just click on the button “Send a Message” on the very bottom of your screen and I will get back to you within 24 hours.
